This statements means that by working hard then everything you did to work hard is going to end up being worth all the late night or early nights that you paid off. You may not think it's worth it at the time but it eventually would be. It won't happen overnight it will take some time. All the hard work you put into something that has meaning or not, will come back to repay you. Everything happens for a reason. For example if one of your siblings does not have money and need a little cash to pay there rent and you have money to let them borrow and you do then they will see that you're helping them and they are going to repay you back. Like if you are short on cash now and need money for you rent and you ask your sibling and they let you borrow some and now you are back on your two feet. Your kindness will come back and gratitude you. You didn't have to let your sibling borrow money but you did. So you will get rewarded back in a shape of form.
