The common task of trauma patients for an emergency operation, and assist surgeons during an operation. Trauma nurses are well-trained and well-versed registered nurse rendering care to patients suffering from different injuries, many are serious and life-threatening injuries.

$54,000-$74,000

Education:

To land an entry-level position, you will need at least a two-year nursing degree (associate degree). 

Demand for this particular career:

Experience in special areas such as intensive care nursing. Two years of experience in emergency nursing prior to application for certification exam. Certification from the BCEN. Another certification from CPEN, CFRN, CEN, and CTRN.

Sports Medicine

Work with doctors to rehabilitate sport-related injuries. They specialize in the treatment and rehabilitation of sport and athletic injuries. Diagnose, treat, and help prevent injuries that occur during sporting events, athletic training, and physical activities.

Master's degree in sports medicine. physical therapy, or athletic training

Mandatory physical therapy licensure, optional Sports Therapy Certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)

Respiratory Therapist

Care for patients who have trouble breathing. Their patients range from premature infants with undeveloped lungs to elderly patients who have diseased lungs. They also provide emergency care to patients suffering from heart attack, drowning, or shock.

Education:

Associates degree or Bachelor degree and License 

Demand for this particular career:

Compassion, Detail oriented, Patience, Interpersonal skills, Problem- solving skills, and science and math skills.

Psychologist

Psychologist

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Specific job duties for psychologists vary according to their specialty. Counseling psychologists  work at schools, hospitals or individual practices. Development psychologists research changes in behavioral patterns over a person's life. Forensic psychologists work with law-enforcement personnel and act as experts in various legal cases. Research psychologists study the case of particular behavioral patterns. Industrial-organizational psychologists work with business to maintain a high-quality work environment. Clinical psychologists work to prevent, diagnose and treat mental disorders. School psychologists  work with parents, teachers and students to foster learning, address school-related problems. Social psychologists examine behavioral trends in society.
