The Right Thing

          This statement means that if you ever have to choose between two then choose what is right. It doesn't matter if you lose friends over your choice. You can always find new ones. If they do not support you decision are they really your friend. Even under pressure you should do/ chose what is right. Always choose the right. Choosing what's right is not always going to be easy. There is a difference between a wrong and a right. The right way is the best way to live. Choosing the right under any circumstance is what is going to help you in the future. 

10 Indian Commandments

10 Indian Commandments 

1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therien with respect. 
2. Remain close to the Great Spirit. 
3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind. 
5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
6. Do what you know to be right. 
7. Look after the well-being of mind and body.
8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good. 
9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
10. Take full responsibility for your actions. 

     
    Some of these Commandments can pertain to everyone else. Like commandments 3, 6, 9, 10. Showing respect to others is the way to go you have to give respect to earn respect. Doing what is right is what is going to give you a great future. Doing what is right is hard work paid off. Being truthful and honest at all times is what we have to live by for some people. Some already like the honest and truthful life and they are doing great in life. Lastly taking responsibility for your actions is what everybody needs to man up and do. This is my first hearing about these 10 commandments. They have to be followed just like the 10 Commandments. You have to follow them with honesty and a greatheart.

This statement means nobody is forcing you to make a decision you have to make it on your own. Do not take the easy way out or the most popular way out do what is right even if it breaks friendship. Doing what is right is what is going to get you where you want to go. Not the easy way. That right way is the right thing to do. No matter what situation you are in. 

True Independence and Freedom

"True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right."

This statement means that when you do the right thing then you won't have any guilt in you. When you do something wrong and you didn't confess it and told nobody then you are going to have to live with that guilt forever. For example if you attend BYU and you break one or the many rules/codes they have then you are going to have to live with guilt. If you do not come clean and keep the thing you did bottled up then eventually it will come out once you kept it bottled up for to long. You won't feel freedom if you are doing what's wrong. You will feel guilt 24/7. If you get caught then the short term gain wasn't worth the long term pain. That is why you are supposed to do what is right all the time. If you do what is right  then you will have true independence and freedom.

This statement means that you cant tell half of the truth to a person and think it is okay. You have to tell the whole truth. You are only right in a problem when you say the complete truth. If you are caught in a situation do not tell a white lie say the correct/ complete truth. By saying the truth you will have no problems. For example if i am caught in a situation and they tell me to say the truth and I only let a piece of the truth then I didn't say do the right thing. If you are caught in a situation just say the complete truth and you will have nothing to worry about. I would say the whole truth so I wont end up in any problems. The best way id to stay out of problems is by not starting them. Be a CTR person and to do the right thing. 

Rightness and Popularity

      The meaning of this quote that came from Albert Einstein means that the right thing to do is not always what other people are doing. If it is not the right thing to do then do not do it. Popularity is not important compared to helping people. A positive example is about a  man named Joe started cutting homeless people hair for free. He was not obligated to do but he did it anyways. All they did to repay him was giving him a hug. He started cutting there hair out of kindness. Another example that is negative is the teens drinking in a party because just because everybody is doing it to. That is not the right way that you are supposed to be doing things. teens should be drinking just because they see other people doing it they should enjoy the time they have peacefully. If they continue on like that they well eventually end up being alcoholics for the rest of there life.
